How long until I can walk on my carpet after it’s been cleaned?

It’s okay to walk on your carpet even as we clean it. We suggest having something to wipe your shoes on before stepping on to the carpets. If you don’t have a mat, an old towel or sheet works great. Because the carpets will be damp, we do not recommend walking on them with just your socks.

Our process is designed to remove as much soil from the carpet as possible. Because of the quality of the products we use, we often see great improvement in many of the stains we treat. The faster you get to it the better. We recommend using warm water and a white towel. Pour a little water at a time on the spill and blot it up with the towel. How often should I have my carpets professionally cleaned?

How often you should have your carpets cleaned really depends on the amount of traffic it sees. Generally twice a year is a good place to start. If your home has small children or pets you may want to consider having your carpets cleaned 3 to 4 times a year. Likewise, your home doesn’t have a lot of traffic, or if you touch up traffic areas with your household rug cleaner you may be able to go longer between cleanings.

What can I do to increase the life of my carpets?

One of the best things you can do for your carpets is vacuum often. By vacuuming you remove dirt that will otherwise be grinding into the fibers of your carpet as you walk across it. Another thing to consider is well placed rugs. Placing rugs on areas before you step onto your carpet works great because the rug will catch the dirt from outside (or your kitchen floor) before your carpets do.
